Eftir langa bið og töluverða skipulagningu var farin loks rannsóknarleiðangur á Vestfirði, Ísafjarðardjúp. Um var að ræða 4 daga rannsókn, leit að skipsflaki frá 20 öld.
Veður og sjólag var með besta móti eins og myndirnar sýna. Leiðangursmenn voru vanir slíkum rannsóknum og leiðöngrum og gekk upp með ágætum. Vonandi kemur áhugaverð niðurstaða út úr þessum leiðangri fljótlega.

Our newest sonar search was in Isafjardardjupi, where we were searching for a 100-year-old cutter. We collected a lot of data. Everything went well, and our boat and equipment worked great.

After a long wait and considerable planning, a research expedition to Vestfjorden, Ísafjarðardjúp, was finally launched. It was a 4-day investigation, a search for a shipwreck from the 20th century.
The weather and sea conditions were perfect as the pictures show. The expeditioners were used to such research and expeditions and it went well. Hopefully, an interesting result will come out of this expedition soon.
